1956 Jon McClure starts McClure Engineering in Jefferson Iowa

1957 Jon McClure and Don Culver join partnerships and start McClure & Culver Consulting Engineers, Jefferson, Iowa

1963 McClure and Culver split, Culver stays in Jefferson, Iowa. Jon sells Tom Niles 20% of McClure Engineering and they move the company to Fort Dodge with the staff of 6.

1964 McClure Engineering moves into the Warden Building in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

1966 Mike Trotter starts with MEC. He continues his education and graduates his Master's Degree in 1979.

1968 McClure Engineering Company moves from their office into the historic Isabella House in Fort Dodge.

1970 McClure engineering moves again.  This building was built in 1918 and was once a hotel, famous for being the last place Buddy Holly stayed a few days before his death.  The Marion County Nursing Homes then occupied the building before it became MEC headquarters.

1979 Terry Lutz joins McClure Engineering, followed by Brent Johnson in 1979.

1981 Terry, Mike and Brent buy 30% of McClure Engineering from Jon McClure and Tom Niles.

1985 Terry, Mike and Brent buy the rest of McClure Engineering from Jon McClure and Tom Niles

1986 McClure Engineering Company opens a second office in Altoona, Iowa.

1991 McClure Engineering Company moves the second office to Ankeny, Iowa.

1999 McClure Engineering expands to Eastern Iowa with a third office in Iowa City.

2001 Jeff Schug, Jeff Segin and Adam Bohr purchase ownership in the company and begin contributing strong growth.

2003 McClure Engineering Company moves the third office to Coralville.

2005 McClure Engineering Company opens a fourth office and this time branches out of the state of Iowa.  This new office is located in the warm and sunny Southwest, Casa Grande, Arizona.

2006 The Eastern Iowa office reaches their final location in their own brand new building in North Liberty.  Ankeny moves once again to Johnston for better positioning in the hub of the Des Moines Metro Area. 

2006 McClure Engineering Company will be expanding out of Iowa again, into neighboring state of Missouri, with a fifth office in Lake of the Ozarks.

2006 MEC celebrates 50 years of RESULTS!  McClure's staff has grown to more than 50 employees now; an extremely bright future posed for strong growth over the next 50 years!
